How to Use a DC Brushless Blower: Step-by-Step Guide

Ⅰ. Safety Precautions

Never touch the air inlet while the blower is running.

Secure the blower before operation to prevent vibration.

Keep away from water/corrosive substances – ensure no liquids or gases enter the air inlet.

Operating temperature: -20°C to 60°C (performance degrades beyond this range).

Ⅱ. Key Components

Label Component Function
A Switching Power Supply Provides DC power
B Power Cable Connects to power supply (+V/-V)
C Driver Controls motor operation
D Blower Unit Main airflow generator
E Control Wires For speed/enable functions

Ⅲ. Operation Steps

Step 1: Power Connection

Connect power cable (B) to switching power supply (A):

Red wire+V terminal

Black wire-V terminal

⚠️ Reverse polarity will damage the blower!

Step 2: Speed Control (Choose ONE Method)

Method Action
Potentiometer (Default) Rotate knob (g) clockwise → Speed increases.
Analog Voltage (0-5V) ① Cut potentiometer (g).
② Apply 0-5V between gray (e) and black (d) wires → Higher voltage = Faster speed.
PWM Signal ① Cut potentiometer (g).
② Input 5V PWM (2-50kHz) to gray (e)-black (d) → Higher duty cycle = Faster speed.

Step 3: Enable/Disable

Connect purple wire (c) to black wire (d): Blower STOPS.

Disconnect purple wire: Blower RUNS.

Step 4: Rotation Direction Check

Blades must rotate counterclockwise (viewed from air outlet).

⚠️ Reverse rotation may cause damage!

Ⅳ. Advanced Functions

Speed Feedback (White F6 Wire):

Pulse output: 1Hz = 60 RPM (WS7040 model) or 1Hz = 30 RPM (other models).

Overheat Protection:

Optional thermal sensor (C1) triggers shutdown if internal temperature exceeds limit.

Ⅴ. Critical Notes

Environment: Install in dry, ventilated areas.

Do NOT disassemble blades – Loss of dynamic balance will occur.

Power Requirements:

Voltage must match blower rating (e.g., 12V/24V).

Power supply current > Blower's max operating current (check specs).

Ⅵ. Troubleshooting (LED Indicators)

LED State Meaning
LED1 OFF Driver/power failure
LED1 flashes 2x + pause Low input voltage
LED1 flashes 3x + pause High input voltage
LED2 OFF Motor running
LED2 blinking evenly Motor standby
LED1 & LED2 both ON Driver overheating
LED2 slow flashes 4x + pause Fan jammed (blocked)

Full error codes: See Section 7 of manual.

Ⅶ. Warranty & Support

1-year warranty from purchase date.

Void if:

Product label/shell damaged.

User disassembly/modification.

Misuse (e.g., reverse rotation, wrong voltage).

Required for service: Original warranty card with customer/product details filled.

Pro Tip: Always refer to the model-specific datasheet for electrical specs. Contact Ningbo Donglai support if LED error codes persist.
Certifications: ISO9001, ROHS, SVHC, CE, SGS (Section 6).
