Understanding Key Concepts in Brushless Control Systems

A brushless DC (BLDC) air blower system is an advanced and efficient solution widely used in various applications requiring controlled and reliable air movement. Unlike traditional brushed motors, BLDC motors operate without brushes, resulting in several advantages including longer lifespan, lower maintenance, higher efficiency, and quieter operation. This overview explores the key concepts in brushless dc air blower control systems

Controller

The customer's control board, known as the controller, is the command center of our system. It sends target instructions to the driver, which then executes these commands. The controller's role is to provide precise and timely directives to ensure the blower operates optimally.

Driver

Our company's driver serves as the execution unit, responsible for driving the brushless blower The driver can receive speed adjustment instructions from the controller to modify the fan's operational state.

Sensor

Sensors are the probing tools that allow the controller to monitor the operational state of the drivers and the fan. Common types of sensors include temperature sensors, speed sensors, air pressure sensors, airflow sensors, and vibration sensors. These sensors provide critical feedback to the controller, ensuring precise and efficient control of the system.

Running at Full Speed

All performance curves for our fans are tested with the speed control voltage set at 5V, evaluating parameters like flow rate, speed, and current against different air resistances (air pressure levels). We do not test performance curves at different speed control voltages by default, but we can perform such tests based on the customer's actual requirements. Note that the performance curves will shift downward if the speed control voltage is set below 5V.
