Where Does The Resistance in The Blower Duct Come From?

The gas in the high-pressure fan pipe will be simultaneously driven by the driving force and resistance, so as to obtain different circulation speeds, and the resistance of the gas flow should also be considered in two aspects, one is the friction resistance, and the other is the local resistance.

What we will analyze below is the control method of local resistance in the pipeline of the high-pressure fan to help us better use the high-pressure fan.

The frictional resistance is not introduced much. The focus is on the local resistance, which is the energy loss caused by the change of the flow velocity and the vortex when the air flows through the pipe, that is to say, various reducing pipes, air pipe inlets and outlets, and valves. When the elbow tees, crosses, exhaust vents, etc. change, local resistance will be generated.

Therefore, the proportion of local resistance high-pressure fan system is still relatively large. In order not to affect its normal operation, it is necessary to remember and pay attention when designing to minimize local resistance.

The common way is to arrange the pipes in a straight line as much as possible to reduce elbows.

If a circular duct elbow is used, its radius of curvature should be greater than the pipe diameter; the aspect ratio of the rectangular duct elbow section is also the larger the better; the rectangular right-angle elbow is best to have a deflector in it.

In order to reduce the local resistance of the tee, attention should be paid to the connection between the branch pipe and the main pipe. It is very helpful to reduce the angle and keep the flow velocity in the branch pipe and the main pipe equal.
